“Thanks Jason for taking us out on the countryside tour today. Loved the whole experience and the lunch was amazing. Appreciated the many drink stops too. You have a wealth of knowledge and insight to Cambodian culture and history. Highly recommend this trip for anyone looking for a fun day out!”
“Jason's bike tour was an off-the-beaten-path adventure that gave me an eye-opening look at Cambodian life. From exploring landscapes to enjoying an authentic home-cooked meal. He's super knowledgeable, funny, and a great storyteller. I'd happily join him on any adventure he leads!”
“Our recent bicycle tour of Kampot was truly exceptional. The guide's captivating insights into Cambodia's religion, culture, and intricate history made the journey both enlightening and enjoyable. A heartwarming highlight was our visit to a local family, where we savored delicious Cambodian food and were charmed by the adorable presence of puppies. The cycling itself was effortlessly easy, adding to the overall delightful experience. A highly recommended tour for those seeking a perfect blend of cultural exploration and leisurely cycling!”
“This bicycle tour is a rare opportunity to glimpse beyond the tourist veil and into the happy lives of those who embody the tenacious heart of Cambodia. Thank you, Jason and Tom, for a remarkable experience.”
“A MUST DO IN KAMPOT !!! We had an amazing experience with Jason. He is passionate about history we learned a lot about Cambodia, Kampot and it's people. The tour around the countryside and it monestaries and temples is incredible, we were the only tourists there, that's how exculsive this tour is. At each stop Jason would explain or tell us interesting facts and stories and buy us fresh water. We stopped to eat at a local family's house it was DELICIOUS !!! The cycling is easy, the road is good, and Jason's company is wonderful. This was my favorite activity in Kampot! THANKS AGAIN JASON !!”
“Jason was engaging and very knowledgable on Cambodian history! The tour brings you to the outskirts of Kampot, cycling next to rice fields and villages. Along the way you stop at some buddhist monasteries where Jason gives you a compelling and nuanced story of Cambodia's history. The food we had was amazing and i enjoyed the quiet compared to the city :)”
“Wow. We rarely experienced such an informative tour and passionate tour guide as Jason. Thanks so much for all the insights about Kampot and Cambodia, really appreciate you taking the time to show us around and clear up so many of the twisted details about the complex local history whilst maintaining a positive energy and patience with us asking loads of questions. Highly recommended to everyone looking for a knowledgeable guide around the Kampot area. J”
“We had a brilliant time exploring Kampot with Jason. He was incredibly informative and passionate, sharing fascinating stories and local insights as we walked through the town. A must-do if you're visiting Kampot!”
“The most incredible tour. Jason was extremely knowledgeable and explained Cambodian history, society, and culture in such a clear way. He was able to answer all my questions about Cambodia and we got to see some amazing parts of the Kampot countryside. I loved seeing the rice fields, and having lunch with a local family.”
“2 of us joined Jason for a bit over 6 hours including lunch. This man loves learning and sharing about Cambodia and its people and history. Tiny bit of main roads to get out of town & then a delightful meamder with stops - brilliant lunch in a family home. All flat riding so don't be in a rush enjoy the cheery hullos on your choice of bike. Thank you Jason”
“Jason gave us a great experience cycling through the city, taking us to some places we wouldn't have went to without him. He did an incredible amount of research and it showed throughout the tour. It was very fascinating and well paced. We had lunch at a Vin's house, which was honestly one of the best meals we've had throughout our Cambodia trip. She was so kind, and shared her difficult story with us to further educate us on the history of the country. This tour is an absolute must if you are in the area, preferably at the beginning of your Kampot days! Jason is very helpful in sharing his other recommendations of what to do around the area.”
“All of the glowing reviews for this tour are absolutely spot on. Riding around visiting all the places is a great way to spend the day. Jason has a great knowledge of Cambodian history & culture and is clearly passionate about what he does. Fantastic lunch too ! Absolute must do while in Kampot”
“It was a wonderful day made by Mr Jason and Mr Tom . You cannot come to kampot without doing this tour . A lot of information and Mr Jason answered all our questions and made sure we are all safe happy , hydrated and understanding his explanations etc . Made us experience the village spirit and stopped to explain a lot of historical things and religion related . I definitely highly recommend them no doubt. All the best”
“An excellent day tour through the local countryside, easy cycling on high quality bikes. Jason entertains and captivates with his knowledge across history, culture, nature and the local people (many locals are also friends). Jason provides drinks throughout the day but a massive highlight was the lunch provided by Vin. We sat as a group and enjoyed multiple dishes (the fish was delicate and the pork was knock out!). It was such a welcoming experience and made easy by Jason's involvement in the local culture. Yes, it is tourism that rewards locals but it was also a lot of fun.”
“YOU HAVE TO DO THIS TOUR!! Honestly, one of the best tours I've ever did. Unbelievable what Jason knows about the history of Asia. I love the way he explained it, it was informativ and funny. I had a million questions and he answered them all patiently and in detail. The visited places were very unique (schools, local restaurants, local house). Without him you could never have such an experience. The lunch was the best food we had in Cambodia. Big thank you to Vin. Thank you Jason!!”
“I got recommended the evening tour by a girl in the hostel I stayed. It was my first day and I recommend to do the evening tour with Jason your first day in Kampot if you got the opportunity. It is simply amazing. Easy walk around the city to learn about the history of Kampot and all the worth spots. He knows truly so much you can ask anything. I found it very enriching. I also asked him for suggestions on what to do the next day on my own. I liked it so much that I also did the bicycle tour with him and it was, without any doubt, the highlight of my days in Kampot. He shared a bunch of knowledge about Cambodia history, culture, traditions, and people. A great guide, and mainly a experience that's hard to find in any other places I've visited in Cambodia”
“Brilliant tour! Highlight of our SEA trip so far! Vins lunch was to die for couldn't recommend more! Thank you all”
“Excellent cycling tour! Jason is a great guide who knows a lot about life in Cambodia. Lunch at the house of Vin was excellent. Highly recommended!”
“Had an amazing time doing the countryside tour, Jason's knowledge of Cambodian history was impressive and he really helped you to understand what it means to be Cambodian, as well as taking you to parts of Kampot you wouldn't otherwise be able to experience. Not only that but Vin's lunch was truly delicious - it was the best meal I've eaten while in Cambodia by a mile”
“Fantastic bicycle tour full of interesting stories and facts about Cambodia. It was definitely one the highlights of my trip. We cycled through beautiful scenery and small dust roads. We got to see rice fields, amazing monasteries, and the fabrication of palm sugar! Finally, we had an amazing lunch cooked by a family in their house and we even had a few drinks along the way! 10/10, definitely recommend - thank you Jason.”
“Amazing tour! Jason has so much interesting information he shares as he guides you through the country side meeting local people and eating fantastic food . This has been one of the best days I had in Cambodia, that I would really recommend!thank you Jason.”
“Off the beaten track bicycle trip. Jason is so knowledgeable about Cambodian history and it's really nice to see the true country side which as a tourist you would otherwise not see. And don't even ask me about the food for lunch, Vin should be given a medaille, each dish as mouthwatering delicious If possible, I would give 7 stars instead of 5 !!! Do this while in Kampot”
“We did Jason's countryside tour on bicycles and it was excellent. He took us out of town to see Cambodian country and farm life, riding through beautiful green rice fields. Jason is an absolute wealth of knowledge, so come armed with all your questions about Cambodia and SE Asia. And the home cooked lunch is a particular highlight. Delicious local food cooked by the lovely Vinh! Highly recommend if you are keen to go slightly off the stock standard tourist track and see parts of the country you otherwise might not.”
“Jason gave one of the best tour experiences we've had in three months of travelling SEA. A genuine insight into local life, customs and traditions as well as an informed explanation of Cambodian history that added lots of context to other places we visited in the country. Dinner in a local Cambodian house was really tasty, and the bikes hired were in great condition. Riding was completely safe, not too strenuous with lots of stops, water and shade, and the scenery was stunning as well.”
“This was the highlight of my stay in Kampot! Jason, having immersed himself in Kampot life for the last number of years, is not just another expat. His passion, respect for and genuine appreciation of the local customs, religion and cultural particularities were evident. He is an excellent story teller, and I really appreciated his contextualisations and shrewd observations of many aspects of Cambodian society. What I particularly loved about this tour was Jason's connections to the local community. He makes every effort to put your money back into the businesses and people that make Kampot special. The opportunity to eat authentic Cambodian food (which was significantly better than anything I've had in a restaurant) is reason enough to do this tour!”
“A Must to do in Kampot!!! Jason shared so much knowledge with us about Cambodia's culture, history and traditions. We had an amazing Xmas lunch cooked by a lovely lady at her place: real cambodian food! An unique experience to discover the countryside of Kampot. Highly reccommended!”
“Had a brilliant tour with Jason who took us around the local villages and temples. He was extremely knowledgeable about Cambodia and its history. We really enjoyed our tour and would put it at the top of our list for tours while traveling. He rented us very new mountain bikes and took a leisurely pace to cycle. We stopped at a few stops to have a chat and learn some history in a nice shaded temple. He then brought us to a lovely local family who welcomed us in with a traditional Cambodian meal, which was amazing. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area to get in contact with him.”
“Great bicycle tour. I learned so much about Cambodia history, culture and the local culture. Great lunch too. Highly recommend.”
“Quite simply the best tour we've had after months of traveling in Southeast Asia. Jason offered an incredible deep-dive into Cambodian culture and history - this is so much more than just another sight-seeing tour! Part tour guide, part history teacher, and part anthropologist, Jason was able to share all his insight and knowledge at a digestible pace along with a good sense of humour. The bike ride through the countryside was stunning as well, and the lunch was fantastic. This tour really reminded us why we travel: to learn about different cultures, broaden our perspectives, and allow ourselves to briefly step into another's shoes. If you only do one thing in Kampot, do this tour.”
“We ended up going to some beautiful monasteries that had no other tourists, just local kids running to school and monks going about their day to day activities. Jason is also a big time history buff and could give lectures on Cambodian history in a super engaging way. He also gives back half of the tour's payment back to the local community, and sets up lunch at a local's house for a homemade cuisine. Highly recommended!”
“This was one of the most interesting and genuine experiences I've had in all of Asia. Jason is an incredibly intelligent person with genuine interest and passion for history, culture and any topic really. I learned so much about the culture, history, religions/beliefs and local way of life. Any question you have, he has covered. The lunch was the most incredible local cuisine. The rice fields and villages were beautiful to ride through. Don't think twice about supporting this local business. Hop on a bike and go on a journey, take the time to more deeply understand Cambodia..you won't regret it :)”
“My favorite activity in Kampot by far ! We've been in a bike tour with Jason in the countryside. We could feel the proximity with the khmer's culture. Jason has a lot of knowledge about history, economy, social and more. It's a must do!”
“We had a wonderful time biking around the outskirts of the city with Jason! It felt like we got to see the "real" Kampot beyond just the typical tourist sites. Jason took us through monasteries, rice fields, local villages, and had great in-depth history and knowledge to share along the way. It was a super fun and interesting way to get to know the area and Cambodia life/culture! We even had a delicious homemade lunch at a local's house. The road is a bit bumpy so I'd recommend good shoes and a good hat/long sleeves for a day biking in the sun! The bike ride was leisurely and at an easy pace - not a problem if you know how to bike. Plenty of rest stops and water! Highly recommend this tour!”
“Wow, Just wow... Jason has answered questions we had from Day 1, showed us the rural and authentic side of Cambodia/kampot. Best tour we had in a long time! Make sure to do this tour! If you have to choose between Boker hill or this, we would skip 100 times boker hill.”
“Favorite day in Cambodia! Not only is Jason just an all around great guy to spend the day with but I learned more today than my three weeks in Cambodia. His curiosity and love of Cambodia and the people really shine. I try to use local providers as much as possible but having an expat as a guide for the day was really enlightening. All the things he has learned and found interesting in his time in Cambodia was shared and he is a great story teller. It was a great day cycling through the red dirt roads, popping in to local's homes he has befriended and all the monasteries. The lunch at a local family's home was the best meal I've had yet in Cambodia. Can't recommend enough!”
“Jason's tour is a highlight. On that we saw the everyday life of a special kind of monastery, e.g. with a public elemantary school in it. What a joy to watch the children during their school classes. They loved us, the tourists, and we loved them ,the little, joyful pupils. The meal was excellent, and we received not only descriptions of what we saw on the tour, but explanations into the history. Very interesting, very deep and knowlegable. Jason gave us enough water. The bicycles were good, who wished got a helmet, and his assistent, tommy, who lives here since 11 years, supervised us and managed our security in the traffic and so on. He was ready to intervene in any case of emergency. That gave us a good feeling in a foreign world. Thank you jason, thank you tommy.”
“If you think this is just a bicycle tour, your are wrong. It is so much more than that! You will cycle past small villages, see beautiful temples and monastries, without a tourist in sight. The lunch at a local family's house was delicious. Also, you can see how passionate Jason is about Cambodia. He will give you a lot of political, cultural and historical information about the country. With this tour, I saw places and learnt things I would never have seen or learnt otherwise. Thank you Jason for this beautiful off-the-beaten-tracks experience !”
“Fab tour around Kampot to see some beautiful sites, lots of stops in shady areas with insightful history talks. Jason is incredibly knowledgeable about the area and the Khmer history. 100% would recommend this lovely activity when visiting Kampot.”

“Fantastic day what a great guy for a Canadian. X”
“We had a fantastic, informative day with Jason. Cycling in the Cambodian heat is manageable. You cycle along shorter routes and get a glimpse into rural life. The bikes are great! Lunch at Vin's was delicious! Highly recommended!”
“The tour was really nice. Jason has a great deal of knowledge about mythology and Buddhism in Cambodia. The food at Vin was really great. I can really recommend the tour.”
